MFC1 Logic DAW Profile Guide

Logic Pro currently does not have a preset assignment for the Jamstik MFC1. The provided Logic Smart Ctl.mfc1 template can be used by normal MIDI mapping steps in logic or by setting up the MFC1 as an Oxygen 25 as shown in this guide.

With the MFC1 connected and turned on, navigate to MFC Profile Menu in the MFC Device Settings Menu and navigate to an empty profile or a profile you want to overwrite and click load profile.

Click Ok on the popup and navigate to where you have downloaded the Logic Smart Ctrl.mfc1 file and select it.

The selected profile slot should now be the Logic Smart Ctrl profile and you can move on to setting up in Logic Pro.

First navigate with the top bar to (Logic Pro - Control Surfaces - Setup…)

In the top left corner click new, and then Install…

In the window that pops up, select M-Audio Oxygen 25 and click the ADD button.

Highlight the Oxygen 25 in the Control Surface Setup menu and change the Input and Output ports on the right to the MFC's

Make sure the MFC is set to the Logic Smart Ctrl.mfc1 profile using the steps above. The MFC Should now control the active channel's Smart Control 1-3 with the encoders and control Play, Stop, and Record with the footswitches. The pedal input will be sent through unchanged.
