Looking to play multiple different VSTs or instruments with individual strings on the Jamstik? Here's how!
This demonstration walks through the process using the Jamstik Studio, but the connection process is the same for all of the Jamstik controllers.
First, make sure your Jamstik is plugged in via USB and turned on.
Next, go into your preferences.
We’ll have to modify the Jamstik MIDI instrument that we created to allow it to split channels.
Then, create 6 new instances of any combination of virtual instruments or presets that you would like.
Next, for each instance, under the “Inspector Tab”, change the input to the corresponding string on your Jamstik. For this particular workflow, the strings are shifted back by 1. So keep that in mind while you’re doing this—we’re dealing with channels 2-7.
When you’re done, arm the tracks and begin playing!
