Updating Jamstik firmware with the Jamstik Control App (iOS/Android)
It is recommended to instead update firmware on Jamstik Creator for Windows and Mac if possible
1. Download the Jamstik Control app for iOS on the App Store, or on Android on the Play Store or with the direct APK link below if it is not available for your device on the Play Store.
2. Power on and connect the Jamstik to Jamstik Control. Though Bluetooth updating is supported on Jamstik Control for certain Jamstik MIDI Guitar models, for speed and reliability a USB connection is strongly recommended for all MIDI Guitars and required for the Jamstik Core. Older iOS devices with the lightning connector may require an "Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter" and constant usb power for USB connection.
2a. If the Jamstik does not automatically connect, make sure your Jamstik is powered on and click the connection box at the top of the screen and select the Jamstik in the list (It may show up under a variety of names not limited to a string of numbers and letters starting with JS, Jamstik, or Zivix MIDI).
3. Once the Jamstik is connected, the update screen should appear if there is a firmware update available. Follow the on-screen steps and when it is finished you are free to restart your Jamstik.
