When using the Jamstik with a 3rd party plug-in that has different velocity scaling than the Jamstik's default velocity range (1-127) or simply has a certain range of velocity that you would like to trigger, adjusting the Min and Max velocity values on the Jamstik will achieve the desired MIDI velocity output from the Jamstik.
1. Connect the Jamstik to the Learning Portal for Jamstik app on iOS or site on a Google Chrome or Firefox browser.
2. Select the device settings menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page and under the advanced settings you will see a panel titled "experimental settings" with min and max sliders
3. Here you can adjust your velocity range min and max values to the desired range and this will carry over to your DAW/3rd party plug-ins
Example: The group of MIDI on the piano roll on the left side is set to a higher velocity range approx. 120-125 and the light blue on the right is set to a lower range approx. 1-15
Note: Currently, this feature is exclusive to the device settings menu on the play.jamstik.com site, make sure to use a Chromium-based web browser that supports WebMIDI such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a desktop or laptop to access this feature.
