Your Jamstik GT/Jamstik 7 strings may become too loose or too tight over time or during shipping like any other string instrument due to changes in temperature, humidity, or after long durations of play.
This video shows Jamstik GT/Jamstik 7 owners how to identify and fix potential string tension issues with some visual inspection and the included 9/64" hex key.
*After some time getting used to your Jamstik, it should become more natural to sense when the strings need tightening, but you can always reference the video above for guidance.
*When removing the rear cover with the Jamstik logo on it, it's generally best to pull from one side to remove it. Be careful not to disturb the foam in other ways when adjusting tension, and be sure to place the cover back on when finished to protect the dampener.
*The 9/64'' hex key will allow for larger adjustments to be made, but if it is not at hand, you can generally use your thumb and forefinger to incrementally tighten.
*We recommend you do not store your Jamstik in below freezing conditions or operate as such, but if you have left your device in the car on a cold day, the strings will be loose. The strings should return to normal tension after bringing it inside to warm up.
